You have landed on the new test site for DC Indymedia.

This site is designed to provide a secure posting environment:

• All IP addresses are hashed, so there is no record of the IP addresses of site users.
• Media from any external host other than archive.org does not load automatically, so their hosts cannot monitor page loads unless/until you actually play the media.
• Anonymous users can post content.

The site features a calendar where you can post upcoming events. The hope is to offer a crowd-sourced alternative to paid corporate services like AP Daybook and for profit social media platforms.

Creating an account enables searching on the site as well as posting comments and editing of previous articles and posts.

This site does not host multimedia files, but you can post images under 2mb and other documents. For video, you can embed or link to media hosted elsewhere. We recommend archive.org for a secure hosting platform.
